Outfit: Cross-embroidered shirt dress (Oasap) and double-layered chiffon skirt (American Apparel).

The first time I saw this dress, I immediately thought of Dolores Haze––her cropped 50's frocks, braided crowns, and lollipops. I regret the fact that I didn't buy a pair of heart-shaped sunglasses for this post. Then the Lolita connection would have been a lot more obvious and I wouldn't have had to explain myself like I am right now.

I also thought of all of the ridiculous fangirls at the Beatles concert in Shea Stadium in '65. Everyone always makes fun of them, but honestly I can't think of anything better than thousands of girls screaming their heads off for the Beatles whilst wearing some of the most adorable collared dresses I've ever seen. It's kind of a twisted fantasy of mine to have been there with all of them, though I don't think this will ever happen unless time machines miraculously become a thing.

And here are some photos, just for reference (all via Google Images).

Outfit: Flower Applique Organza Blouse (Oasap), Faux-leather Shorts (Oasap), Juju Jellies (ASOS).

Oasap sent me this ChloƩ-esque blouse a week ago. Unfortunately it was a bit small for me and I had to cut the back slightly (sigh), but I still think it's gorgeous and love it quite a lot. They also gave me this pair of leather shorts, which I had been eyeing for quite a while before receiving them. If you're interested in either of the items you can check them out by clicking here and here.

As for what's going on in my life at the moment...School just started this week and it's already pretty awful––loads of homework, a bunch of concepts in chemistry that I don't understand all that well, waking up at an ungodly hour, pop quizzes over stuff I don't know, etc. Thank god this is my last year of high school. And for all of you guys who have already started school/are starting school soon, good luck!

Outfit: 3D Floral Mesh Jumper (American Apparel), Faux Leather Shorts (Oasap), Feather Bracelet (Oasap), Charlotte Olympia-esque Kitty Flats (eBay).

Summer for me thus far has been watching festival livestreams (Glastonbury as my obvious favorite because Arctic Monkeys headlined), eating way too many frozen bananas, reading Haruki Murakami books, and practicing karate. I've also been trying to start running/stop eating so many sweets, but so far I unfortunately haven't made much progress on either of these goals. Vacation will be over in three weeks, and while I'm happy that I'm almost done with high school, I'm dreading all of the homework and college apps I'll have to deal with soon. Honestly, I'd rather just hide in my room all day and stay on Tumblr.
For this post, Oasap sent me a pair of faux leather shorts and a golden feather bracelet. I like both of them quite a lot (especially the bracelet, as you can see from the number of close-ups I took of it). If you're at all interested in either of the items, you can check them out on Oasap's website here and here. I'm also obsessing over the pair of kitty flats that I bought a few months ago. The only bad thing about them is that they seem to attract a lot of odd stares when I wear them outside of my house. Anyways, I apologize once again for my hiatus and hopefully I'll be back on here with another outfit post soon.
